reset your preferences for InDesign
  1. If possible, choose Edit > Preferences > General (or Ctrl + K) and look through each of the menu items available in your existing InDesign preferences. ...
  2. Start InDesign (e.g. by clicking the icon in your Windows task bar) and then press Ctrl + Shift + Alt.

if it doesnt work, try to unistall and re install again.

Hi Manal,

The systems is an iMac with 32 GB Ram.

The suggested options didn’t work out so I returned to 17.1 and after that it worked again.

Kind regards,

[Elbert van den Brink www.oble.nl]
