Hey In Design gurus, I have a complex document that includes a rather large table that needs to be locked into place but still have the ability to edit text and merge cells. Help!

What do you mean by 'locked in place'? Not move from its page?

The table spans 14 pages and is updated each month by pasting the information from another source. It is a TV Schedule updated monthly for our program guide so it needs to be physically locked in place but with the abitliy to merge cells and edit text. Thanks for your help.

The first thing that comes to mind is that you should probably manage it as its own document, and place that document in the larger guide document each month. That will let you manage it separately from all the other content and layout.

Those 14 pages should remain static, as long as you don't make any editing/cell merge mistakes, and will be 'locked in place' by being placed where you want them in the larger layout.

That seems like a complete solution from the information you've given... feel free to add details that might change the process!
