I just upgraded to macOS 11.3.1 and I use Adobe cloud InDesign 16.1. ID has slowed to a crawl. Takes FOREVER to even cut and paste. I've reset all my preferences, hasn't helped. What can I do to fix this??

How much RAM and spare disk capacity do you have?

Do you have a third-party application installed, such as a font manager?

I have a really stout iMac.

32 GB Memory

iMac (Retina 5K, 27-inch, 2019)

Processor: 3.7 GHz 6-Core Intel Core i5

2 TB storage

I have a Font Book app but that's it

I have only used half of the storage, all my other applications work fine.

I have now downgraded to ID Version 15.1.3. My mac works great and fast now. Shame I can't use the latest version of ID with Big Sur.

Hi Jeff,

Sorry to hear about your experience about the performance of the app. I'd recommend trying to follow the suggestions given on this community post(https://community.adobe.com/t5/indesign/resolve-slow-performance-and-unexpected-behavior-of-indesign...).

Let us know if it helps.

Regards,

Ashutosh
