We have no way to help you here without some more details. Full Windows version, RAM, etc. What are you doing when it crashes? Same file, different files?

I have Windows 10 Pro (that's all I know). I was working on a proposal that worked just fine yesterday and days before.

Not enough. Sorry. What build of Windows 10? Start > Settings > System > About.

What processor? How much RAM? Any error messages?

Hi,

first quit InDesign.

See if an *idlk file is in the directory of the document that crashed InDesign.

Remove it.

Trash your InDesign cache. All files and directories that are stored in the Version 17.0 directory at:

[Your Username] > AppData > Local > Adobe > InDesign > Version 17.0

Restart InDesign.

Open your document.

Export it to IDML.

Export a PDF/X-4 as well.

Work on. If InDesign will crash again, the document could be damaged.

Try to work on with IDML file as document and save it to a new name.

Compare the pages of the PDF with the layout you have open.

Regards,
Uwe Laubender
