InDesign 18.5 is very slow while launching and extremely slow while exporting a PDF. It is running on a Apple M1 iMac 2021 (With Mac OS Ventura 13.5). But it launches and exports perfectly fine on my MacBook Pro again with Mac OS Ventura 13.5 (which does not have a M1 chipset)
This is blocking my workflow. What should I do to fix this?

Very difficult to know what the issue is here.
There's a troubleshoot guide here

Yes, for me too! Apple M1 Mac Studio, OS Ventura 13.5. Immediately on "upgrading" to 18.5 things slowed down and were almost unuseable. InDesign could barely load in linked images that were not a problem in InDesign 18.4. Was so gummed up I couldn't even quit the program. Restarting, rebooting didn't help. Reverting to 18.4 fixed the issue.
I wish Adobe would spend more time on quality control and less on AI gimmicks.

Hi @wlym,
Sorry to hear about the trouble. Have you already tried the steps suggested here? If yes, can you confirm whether this is happening with specific or multiple files? Please share a screenshot of the InDesign process from the Activity Monitor. We'll try our best to assist you with this.
Thanks
