InDesign 19.1 Crash/Hangs when selecting fonts on macOS Sonoma

Can someone please help.

Issue starts when InDesign is open, I selected a font change from the menu and the file just stops and hangs on the text tool and unable to select anything even the main menu within InDesign, so I have to force quit. I've uninstalled and reinstalled InDesign, cleaned my fontbook, deleted and reinstalled fonts from Adobe Cloud but still I'm having issues.

MC OS 14.2.1 (23C71)

It happens when selecting any fonts, sometimes I can select one font change and its OK the next time I change the font it freezes

I have the same issue; I tried different files, reinstalled the system, and tried on a different Mac (14.2.1), but the issue remains. Also deleted Font Book (expected conflict between Font Book and Adobe fonts library)

Yes, the issue remains.

When I try to select a different font from the fontmenu in the menubar
(screenshot 1) the document freezes and I have to restart InDesign. The
“Force Quit Applications” pop-up menu does not indicate the InDesign “does
not respond” but that is whats’s happening (screenshot 2). Indesign does
not respond to anything anymore.

It is still possible to select a different font by using the toolbar
though. (screenshot 3)

I have no idea why this happens. I re-installed the operating system (MacOs
Sonoma 14.2.1) and deleted all installed fonts and tried adding fonts one
by one to see whether it was a specific font that causes the problem. It
did not help.

Hi - I'm using OS Sonoma 14.2.1 and when I attempt to change a font in InDesign it completely freezes. I highlight the text I want to change and scroll down to the font I want to use and InDesign freezes, the text remains highlighted but the font isn't changed and I cannot deselect the text or highlight any other text or even close the program. I need to force quit and restart. It happens randomly and with different fonts (both TrueType and OTF fonts). I've unistalled the program and re-installed it but it doesn't help. Any assistance at this point would be most appreciated. Thanks!

UPDATE: I updated my OS to Sonsoma 14.3 as recommended and instead of freezing it now crashes every single time I try to change the font! It doesn't matter what font I want to change it to or what document I'm working on (I tried it with many different documents). I uninstalled and shut down and restarted my computer and then reinstalled InDesign and still the crashing and the frustration continues!

Unfortunately none of the above discussions has worked and I am both frustrated and incredibly annoyed that I am wasting time repeatedly crashing, shutting down the computer, crashing again upon restarting InDesign when trying to change a font (even to extremely basic ones) and get just one document designed.

I am having the same issues as the others above have reported and have tried the same fixes, but InDesign continues to freeze when choosing fonts. This has been happening since I installed Sonoma. It's so frustrating and inefficient! I will send my system logs through DM to Rishabh_Tiwari.
