InDesign 2019(v14.0.3) stuck on "Touch workspace" on Windows 10

Dear Support Community,
my InDesign (v14.0.3) freezes apprx. 1 second after launching it. It only shows the "Touch Workspace"-overlay and the animation of the finger drawing a rectangle after freezing the program completely. The only way to close InDesign is via task manager.
I tried reinstalling, updating, older versions, deleting old files but i can't seem to find a solution.

I would be very thankful for any kind of help!

Best regards!

Hi @Shayna250665127vaw,

I’m really sorry to hear that you’re still experiencing this issue with InDesign. It must be frustrating, especially since you’ve already tried various solutions.

To better assist you, could you please provide the following details?
- The exact version of InDesign you’re using.
- The details of your operating system (Windows version, build number, etc.).
- A screenshot of the screen where InDesign gets stuck.

These details will help us narrow down the problem and find a solution more effectively.

Thank you for your patience and cooperation!

Thank you,
Abhishek Rao

I know this is an old issue -- I ended up with the same problem in a computer classroom lab wth 30 desktops (no touch capabilities). Our workaround has been to go into Creative Cloud app, then launch from there. Once it has luanched you can use the program and bypass the Touch Tutorial the program is trying to make you complete.

My experience has been similar. It was the Touch Tutorial that autoplays that I could not access to get it off the screen. Once it was gone, I could change the Workspace. Doing a reset finally got me going past this problem.
