InDesign 2021 crashes when I try to hyperlink

Hello,

I've recently updated my operating system (macOS Big Sur version 11.4) and everytime I try to hyperlink text it crashes the program. The app is up to date. Please help!

Which version of InDesign?

How much RAM and spare disk capacity do you have?

Have you tried resetting your InDesign preferences?

Hey Derek: I'm using InDesign 2021. And I'm on a MacBook Pro (15-inch, 2018) with memory of 32 GB 2400 MHz DDR4. Both the program and operating system are update to date.

Note: The resetting the InDesign preferences worked.

It's importantant to indicate the exact version of InDesign and the exact version of the OS – "the latest" may not be helpful.

Glad to hear trashing the preferences solved the issue.

Hi Derek,

Can you please expand on 'resetting your InDesign preferences'? Is there something here regarding Hyperlinks I need to specifically manage ?

I am experiencing the same issue with two hyperlinks in my TOC being corrupted. Another thread suggested saving as IDML though this didn't work for me.
