Indesign 2022 v17.2 Effects not workings

Hi

Runing the lasterst version of Indesign on Mac OS Monterey 12.3.1

Recently when I change a coloured box to Effects > Mulitply nothing happens. Normally the box conbines the colour of the top box and merges it with the box/picture underneath, but not any more!

In version 2021 this still works fine but not with 2022.

 

Can anyone help  please?

ANYONE ELSE HAVING THIS PROBLEM PLEASE?

ADOBE SUPPORT!!??
