Hi all,
I work in InDesign 18.1 on Mac (Ventura 13.1). I had lately regular crashes. Now it wo't open at all.
I have restarted my Mac. I have uninstalled InDesign and reinstalled InDesign. I have also Manually removed InDesign SavedData Defaults and Recovery files.
Any idea what else I could try?
Thanks, Sam

Try updating your MacOS, this has been reported to fix such problem by a lot of people on the forum.

Thanks. For the moment I cannot because of lack of disk space. but later on I will try.

If you don't have enough disk space for that, you don't have enough disk space for anything. Time for an upgrade or a good cleaning. Hard drive space is cheap.

Unfortunately I can't add sisk space to the iMac I have. So I will have to try with cleaning and making space availabal.

also update your InDesign - you mentioned you're running 18.1.

Upgrading to InDesign 18.5 worked! Thanks!
(Hopefully no conflicts with font manger, as in earlier versions)

Updating to the latest OS and InDesign versions worked. Although I still have occasional crashes. This happens more with files that have assignments with InCopy. (And I suspect it happens more when one person is working on a Mac and the other on a PC).

I got it working again after doing some work in Photoshop. I am not sure if or why that did the trick but I could open InDesign now.
