Indesign 2024 un-useable - Spinning constantly

How do I stop indesign spinning out every 5 seconds, I literally cannot use anything in it anymore.... even with a new document, no links, nothing....

what version of the operating system? also, is InDesign 2024 updated to the latest version, 19.5?

It's the latest version 20.0.

And i'm on Mac OS Sequoia 15.0.1 (24A348)

That's InDesign 2025. Based on everything I've read, your best bet is go back to 2024.

Until now I never had the problems many mentioned for years on this. But now for the first time with 2025 I have and none of the solutions work (rebuild prefs, delete caches, even clean up and re-install, disable Context bar)... In the pre-release I mentioned this slowness with text on the Mac many times... yet they released it the way it was...
