InDesign 2024 x Sonoma 14.3.1 top menu with File, Edit on left and time, battery on right etc gone

My top menu has completely dissapeared so it's very limiting as to the design I can actually do. 

I only updated to Sonoma because I couldnt even open inDesign on the last OS and now this. Top menu seems to be fine for me in Photoshop etc.

Reset your preferences.

As far as your prior problem you likely never updated Ventura past 13.4 and there were bugs that Apple fixed in 13.5.
