Since uploading Indesign 2025 last year it has lagged and you get the spinning beach ball.
I spent over an hour changing six lines in a table this morning which would normally take 5 minutes.
I quit twice after resetting the preferences and deleted and redownloaded the app. All these 'fixes' that don't fix anything, take time, are extremely frustrating, and cost me time and therefore money.
Why is this taking Adobe (you) so long to sort out?
There are hundreds of comments about this in the Community. Sort it out, it's not the customer/client's responsibility.
How do I get a refund or compensation for my lost time?
If you buy a pair of shoes and the heel comes off you can get your money back or a new pair. I see no difference.
Christmas is over, it's time to get into your developers, get them off their brightly coloured corduroy bean bags, bang some heads together and get this fixed.
This is a reminder that the core of Adobe's value proposition lies in empowering creative professionals and everyday consumers to bring any digital experience to life.
Do it.

in the future, to find the best place to post your message, use the list here, https://community.adobe.com/
p.s. i don't think the adobe website, and forums in particular, are easy to navigate, so don't spend a lot of time searching that forum list. do your best and we'll move the post (like this one has already been moved) if it helps you get responses.

Firstly we've been asked to share this link
And my perosnal opinion.
I get how frustrating it is to deal with performance issues, especially when they slow down your workflow and impact your productivity.
From what I’ve seen, the development team is aware of these concerns and is working on them, though I know it can feel like progress isn’t happening quickly enough.
To help narrow things down, it might be worth sharing details about your system setup (e.g., operating system version, hardware specs). Sometimes specific setups can reveal conflicts that might not affect everyone.
In the meantime, a few troubleshooting steps you could try:
Regarding your frustration about refunds or compensation, Adobe's Customer Support would be your best bet for an official response. That said, I personally always test a new version of software thoroughly before using it for critical projects. For now, I stick with InDesign 2022 for actual work, even though I have 2023, 2024, and 2025 installed.
If we’re sticking with the shoe analogy, I’d liken it more to buying a pair of shoes that look great but feel tight. Sometimes, you have to break them in or realize they’re not suited to the terrain you’re walking on. Either way, you’re right—it’s frustrating when something doesn’t work as expected out of the box.
Hope this helps a bit!
