https://indesign.uservoice.com/forums/601180-adobe-indesign-bugs/suggestions/48955421-indesign-2025-...
Gibt es da schon eine Lösung?
Bisheriger Pfad war ja:
1. Gehe zu – oben anklicken
2. alt-Taste gedrückt halten und LIBRARY anklicken
3. Application Support anklicken
4. Adobe > Adobe PDF wählen
5. SETTINGS wählen
>> hier können SETTINGS abgelegt oder geholt werden
Hi @deko_KB,
Thank you for sharing the details! The special characters like "–" in the job options file names might be contributing to the issue. Could you please try renaming the files without any special characters and see if that helps?
If you continue to face problems, please let us know. Your feedback is valuable, and I'll make sure it gets updated on the bug report.
Thanks again for your patience!
Best,
Abhishek

Öffne den Acrobat Distiller
Drag & Drop die joboption in das geöffnete Distiller-Fenster.
Der Distiller kopiert die Joboption an den korrekten Ort.

Hi @deko_KB,
I understand how frustrating it can be to lose your PDF export settings after upgrading to InDesign 2025. Here's how you can restore your .joboptions files:
1. First, make sure you have access to your .joboptions files. If you have a backup of your InDesign 2024 settings, retrieve those files.
2. Make sure your job options are placed in the correct directory for InDesign 2025. The path should be:
macOS: '~/Library/Application Support/Adobe/Adobe PDF/Settings/'
Windows: 'C:\Users\[Your Username]\AppData\Roaming\Adobe\Adobe PDF\Settings\'
3. Drag and drop your .joboptions files into the `Settings` folder mentioned above.
4. After copying the files, restart InDesign 2025 to ensure it recognizes the new settings.
5. Go to File > Export and check if your custom job options appear in the PDF export settings.
If the above steps don’t work, please let us know, and we can explore other potential solutions.
Best of luck, and let us know if you need further assistance!
Thanks,
Abhishek Rao

Hi @Abhishek Rao ,
thank you for your answer. I tried that already but it didn't work out. It erases my settings in Indesign 2024 – so I made a backup just for sure of all .joboptions. I have to put it back into the path you told me too. Do you have any idea why this is not working? I am happy for any solution which works out.
thanks
Denise

With accent letters you mean ä,ö,ü? I didn't use that kind of letters in saving the joboptions. For example, this is a name of one of them:
ALLGEMEIN – ANSICHTS-PDF – DELUXE optimiert 72dpi.joboptions
or
ZEITUNG – DRUCK-PDF – Inserate isoNEWSPAPER 300dpi.joboptions

Hi @Abhishek Rao ,
I changed the name to:
ALLGEMEIN_ANSICHTS-PDF_DELUXE_optimiert_72dpi.joboptions
>> I changed all charakters like "–" to "_" and erased all the free spaces inbetween. Now it is working, I tested it already on 2 computers and now it is working. Thank you so much for your help!
Will there be an update? If so, please let me know
all the best, Denise

When installing InDesign 2025, all .joboptions files with PDF export settings were removed, even in the old version 2024. How can I recover them? Also, my plugin and script files were deleted.
Deleting user files just because they contain "á" in the file name is ridiculous. I’ve been using the same files for more than a decade in various versions of InDesign. Why does CC2025 not support them? Why did we not get a warning beforehand?
How can I get all my deleted files back?
Where did you delete the files? I cannot find them in my backup.

in the future, to find the best place to post your message, use the list here, https://community.adobe.com/
p.s. i don't think the adobe website, and forums in particular, are easy to navigate, so don't spend a lot of time searching that forum list. do your best and we'll move the post (like this one has already been moved) if it helps you get responses.
