Hi all,
"Share for Review" InDesign 24
Anyone have an idea on how to keep the unresolved pins intact after the content is updated?
My client wishes to see content updates after each session. When I update content through the share dialog, it creates a new link/content, but the comment pins that I have not gotten around to do not follow the new content instance.
I can view the earlier version to resolve the comments, but the client doesn't want to flip-flop between the instances, which I understand.
Surely I am missing something.
Thanks for any wisdom.

in the future, to find the best place to post your message, use the list here, https://community.adobe.com/
p.s. i don't think the adobe website, and forums in particular, are easy to navigate, so don't spend a lot of time searching that forum list. do your best and we'll move the post (like this one has already been moved) if it helps you get responses.

Hi @Gary00000000000,
Thanks for reaching out! I totally understand how frustrating it can be when you're trying to keep track of comments while updating content.
Unfortunately, when you update the content via the "Share for Review" feature in InDesign 24, any unresolved pins don’t carry over to the new version. Each update creates a new instance of the document and its associated comments, so the pins don’t automatically follow.
But don’t worry, there are a couple of things you can try to make it easier:
1. Instead of creating a new review link every time, try updating the existing content under the same link. This will keep the unresolved pins attached, so you won’t have to flip between versions. You’ll find an option to “Update Link” in the "Share for Review" dialog.
2. Before you update the content, save a version of the document with all the unresolved comments. That way, you can always go back to it and resolve any comments without losing track.
I hope one of these options helps! If you need more details or a step-by-step guide, feel free to ask. I'm happy to help out!
Best,
Abhishek Rao
