Trying to find a way to copy an entire indesign document that's an interactive PDF (141 Pages, over 950 destinations, Many master Pages, ect.) into a new document and have all the funcationality copy over with it. Adobe Support is very hard to understand over the phone, they've dropped the ball and left me with no solution to the problem at hand.
Pages 101-121 on this interactive document are blacked out and it just says 'waiting for indesign.presents to respond.' on the bottom left of the page when you try to interact with pages 101-121. However when I copy the pages over to a new document, everything is visble and works - aside from the button destinations. Is there any way to export all 950 destinations and buttons into the new working document?

Hi Jeff,
why would you have to copy the pages of the original document where all buttons function very well to a new document?
Perhaps we could tackle that issue by using the original document.
Exporting to PDF and placing the PDF pages is not the solution as you already know.
The interactive elements will not be interactive anymore when you export from the document with the PDF pages placed.
It's the same with placed InDesign pages.
The main issue is that buttons will be stripped off their actions when copy/pasted.
And moving pages over to a new document does something like that.

There is something that causes 20 of the pages to black out, which I'm unable to figure out why.
I thought maybe since the document was made many years ago it was a bug, so wanted to transition it to a new file - which did solve the issue however the button destinations did not follow over with it.

Hi Jeff,
what exactly means "black out"?
Could you show a screenshot of a spread in that page range with frame edges showing in Normal view?
Are you able to select all elements of the facing pages there?
If yes, add a new spread just before the first spread where you see the issue and drag the contents of the "black out" spread to the new spread. Do not copy/paste. That would spoil the buttons.
Thanks,
