InDesign and Illustrator printing looks pixelated, other programs print fine

I just got a new Macbook Pro and installed the most recent versions of Adobe CC apps. When I print from InDesign and Illustrator, the printouts appear jagged and pixelated (text and graphics). When I print the same files from Photoshop or Acrobat, prints are high quality and crisp. (printing from other non-Adobe apps also appears to be fine).

Any ideas as to why? Thanks for any feedback!

Can you show the specific print dialog box settings you are using in ID and AI?

It's best to print from a PDF created from InDesign rather than directly from the application.
