InDesign and Illustrator slow and crashing on new MacBook Sonoma 14.1.1

When I use both inDesign and Illustrator, most of the time my files will not pen without it crashing or being incredibly slow.

Most recommendations are to delete the cache using the users file, but I do not have access to the user file using the 'Go' and 'Find Folder' function.

I've only had the macbook for 3 days so i have no idea why this is happening.

I haven't experienced this problem myself because I'm still using the previous OS version—Ventura. But others have experienced similar problems with Sonoma. There are bugs which have not yet been solved yet. It may be an Apple issue or and Adobe issue, but you may have to wait for it to be solved.

Regarding you user Libary folder: Apple now helpfully hides it by default. To unhide, open your user (Home) folder in the Finder, press Cmd-J and check Show Library folder.

Also, as @Steve Werner  mentioned, both InDesign and Illustrator are not officially compatible with Sonoma yet (which may or may not be related to your issues). Try to create a new user account in System Settings and run InDesign there - will you have the same crashes?
