InDesign and Word won't save my document

Suddenly I can't save my documents in Indesign and Word. When I click 'save' or 'save as' there is no notification, just nothing... I have enough space on my disk as well as RAM. Whaat's happening?

Do other file operations work? Have you tried rebooting the computer?

Yes I tried rebooting, software updates, harddisk doktor,

Do you have a second monitor? (known problem for some mac users)

Yes I do have a second monitor. I will disconnect, see if that's the problem.

It is a known pesky problem with Mac OS 12 and a second display. The Save dialog box shows 'off screen'. Sometimes changing the resolution helps.

Oh, and installing Default Folder may fix it 😉

It sounds to me that you either no longer have active write permissions for the Finder or you simply lack access to files and folders for the Indesign and Word Apps.

Solved! At last I updated my system and now everything is ok again 😉
