InDesign can't find missing fonts.

I have problem with InDesign 17.1

It doesn't show missing font, even in preflight!

Hi Simone,

 

missing fonts can be hidden in unused Character or Paragraph Styles or in autmatic biuld up GREP, nested, Bullet, numbering, cross reference, Tabele of Content Styles and maybe I have forgotten to mention a furteher category.

Hi luca,

there are several spots in InDesign where missing fonts are listed.

Menu Type > Find fonts… is one example.

And also Preflight if it is configured to show missing fonts.

 

Do you perhaps see pink bars behind text that should indicate a missing font and none of the above two panels do show them? Please share some screenshots of the Find fonts panel from the Type menu. Also the page showing missing fonts at the text. Could be that you are using the wrong type of font for your document. E.g. an activated OTF font from Adobe Fonts where its TrueType version from Google Fonts is needed. But this is a wild guess…
