InDesign CC 2020 and 2021...recent file icons do not display the first page of document anymore

Anyone else have this issue? The icon of the first page of the document only shows when it's a document made in a version of InDesign prior to 2020. Otherwise, it's just a generic icon. Not a huge deal but why did this go away?? Or how do I get it back?

Not sure this effects the thumbnail but check your preferences:
