Hi, I have a project that uses a lot of repeat elements, which I saved in an InDesign CC library. I redesigned the project last year and added lots of new assets to the CC library. When I opened the library today, all the newer files are missing - it appears to have reverted to a version of the library from over a year ago, before I created the redesign files. Is there any way to retrieve and re-add those assets? They are not visible in the InDesign library panel, nor in the project's library folder when I log in on Adobe.com.
Many thanks!

I can add files, and they appear in the Files > Libraries area in Adobe online, but there's nothing there that I added between 10 months ago and today.

I'm sorry to hear about the issue with your InDesign CC library reverting to an earlier version. I understand how frustrating it can be to lose your work. Would you mind confirming the InDesign and CC Libraries versions? Also, can you share the public link to the library folder where the assets were stored?
Looking forward to your resposne.
Best regards,
Anshul

Hi, no problem. InDesign is 2024 version 19.4 and Libraries is version 1.0.9.4
I don't have a public link to the library location - it's under my personal and shared tab.
Many thanks,
Rachel

I have a similar issue, and this is a major problem. I work on multiple editorial projects and have several library items, such as pull quote styles, saved in libraries. The pull quotes on the library are populated with dummy text, and they are pulled on to the document and then written. Lately the quotes have been reverting to dummy text with no warning. This is disastrous, and several have nearly made it into print. This happened a month or so ago, and updating InDesign seemed to fix it. Now it's happening again. Are there any permanent fixes? InD 20.3.1/ OS 14.7

Thanks for reaching out, and I totally understand how concerning this must be.
I did some testing on my end on 20.3.1, and I noticed that once I drag a Library item onto the document and replace the dummy text, it stays as is and doesn't revert.
To help us get to the bottom of this, could you please confirm a couple of things:
1. Does this happen in all your InDesign projects or only specific ones?
2. Is it permanent or intermittent behavior?
If only happening with a specific file then the document might have got corrupted. Please try saving the file as IDML, open it, resaving under new name and then test the issue.
Let me know how it goes.
Abhishek
