InDesign changes image colour

When importing an image into Indesign, it changes colour (see picutre: left the original picutre, on the right as it shows in Indesign). When printing it, it also comes out as shown in Indesign.

What could I do to preserve the original colour?colours.jpg

Make sure InDesign has the same colour profiles as your (presumably Illustrator).

Is the image in the other programme in RGB or CMYK?

Is InDesign Transparency mode in RGB or CMYK?
