InDesign changing document size when exporting to PDF - home printer to blame?

New Here ,

Has anyone else had the experience of InDesign changing document sizes to match the default size on a home printer? It's taken me too long today to work out why my document size kept changing from A6 to A4 when I exported it to PDF, even when I exported it as a JPG file. Getting InDesign to forget my printer seems to have fixed this bug, but maybe it was just good 'ole magic. Any clues InDesign gurus?

I doubt that InDesignis changing the size of your document upon export as InDesign never does this. How do you experience the size change?

Could it be, that you have choosen in your print dialogue to fit size to the selected printer size? This is for most people the standard setting. Change fitto siize 8or scale) to NONE.

Thanks Willi. I checked the print dialogue and just about every other permutation. It was only when I disabled the printer that the document size was exported correctly. As Sherlock Holmes said in The Sign of Four:

'Eliminate all other factors, and the one which remains must be the truth.'
