Indesign Content aware fit

Hello all,

When I have set my frame to content aware, some images look great but some are getting cut off by the frame. Is there a way to set content aware to not cut off the image?

The images would have to be same ratio as your frame.

There really is only a handful of options

Content-Aware Fit is powered by Adobe Sensai – Adobe’s AI – and it will try to find the best framing for the image. It can have good results. But you will probably need to fine-tune it manually.

Only three of the six frame fitting options never allow part of the image to move outside the frame:

• Fit Content Proportionately (may leave gaps on two sides)
• Fit Content in Frame (will distort the image to do so)
• Fit Frame to Content (resizes frame to fit the image)

As per @Eugene Tyson: it all comes down to the aspect ratio of both the image and the frame. If they are different, something has to give. The lesser of two evils IMHO is let unimportant parts of the images (on the sides) get cropped by the frame.
