Indesign is crashing for the past week or so since the MacOS Sonoma 14.1.2 update alllmost every time I export a pdf. Guarenteed if it is the second time I've exported a PDF since beginning work, and Adobe Acrobat is still open (even if the previous exported file is closed). Especially problematic if exporting the same document twice in a row and trying to replace the previous pdf, which is standard practice for me as a designer, always some change or another.
I work from dropbox on the regular which is worth mentioning although not normally an issue. Connection to the internet is fine, latest Adobe apps etc.

Did your problem start after updating from Ventura or an earlier version of Sonoma?
As you may know, InDesign doesn't officially support Sonoma yet. You issues may or may not be related to this.
Multiple sources report that upcoming macOS 14.2 will solve known InDesign issues on Sonoma. 14.2 is in late beta stages. You can install the beta and see if it solves your issues (with all the precautions and disclaimers related to beta software).

@Creative Overlord reported he was running Sonoma 14.1.2 so no doubt that is the cause of the problem. AppleInsider and MacRumors both report that Sonoma 14.2 (as well as new iOS versions) are now available as a Release Candidate for developers (last version before release) and predict release in the next few days.

Confirming update to 14.2 fixed my issue (I'm not a beta tester or developer so had to wait for the real one).

If you're a BETA TESTER:
From Apple Insider a few hours ago:
"Apple's fifth developer beta build for macOS Sonoma 14.2 has been issued to test participants, with the operating system hitting release candidate status.
"Developers partaking in the beta program can pick up the latest build by visiting the Apple Developer Center or updating Macs running the beta to the newest build. Public beta versions are generally available via the Apple Beta Software Program not long after the developer versions are released.
"The fifth beta arrives after the fourth, which Apple released on November 28, while the third appeared on November 14. The second build landed on November 9, while the first arrived on October 26.
"The fifth build is number 23C63, replacing the fourth, build 23C5055b."

I see. The Software Update info in System Settings implied that the new 14.2 update isn't beta anymore and the word 'beta' isn't used anymore anywhere in the system version info now that's 14.2 is installed. That's why I posted my message once I installed it.
I see that the installed build is 23C63 (mentioned in your quote as the 5th). So who the hell knows if Apple still considers it a beta or final release – their messages are often ambiguous.

I'm still on Ventura. The System Settings > Software Update suggests I update to macOS Sonoma 14.1.2.
The version that is in beta which promises to maybe fix some of the problems of Sonoma is macOS Sonoma 14.2.

OK I see. Well I think Apple should clearly label it as an RC or something then in the system info. Regardless, it's now reported that with this final beta InDesign problems returned:
