InDesign is crashing and closing after about 1 second after the loading screen appears. I am running it on an Apple M1 Max Macbook Pro. The only fix seems to be uninstalling and reinstalling. Is anyone having this? Attached in the exact point it crashes.

First, in the future post crash reports on pastebin.com and give us a link.

Secondly, this issue has been reported many, many times and the solution is to upgrade to the latest release of Ventura. Whatever caused it was fixed by Apple in 13.5. Do not upgrade to Sonoma just yet. There are still incompatibilities being reported by many users.

Thanks Bob, it's not showing me that I can upgrade my OS but I will investigate further. I'll delete this thread.

It wasn't saying there was an update. I went on the App Store and searched for it. Forced it the long way.

That's your issue right there. You have to upgrade the operating system. I think the latest release 13.6 but you have to get to at least 13.5.

BTW, once there's a reply to your discussion, it can't be deleted.

Although it downloaded the latest Ventura I don't seem to be able to install it as the update screen is now only showing Sonoma 😞

Hi Matthew:

Apple menu > System Settings > General >  Software Updates. Then you need to scroll all the way past the promoted Sonoma upgrade to see the Ventura upgrade at the very bottom. The current version is 13.6.1 and it will solved the crashing on start issue.
