InDesign crushes when use Scale Tool, how to solve this bug.

Hi I am having this problem over the years. InDesign can't corp with Scale Tool, I have to minimise the use of Scale Tool, otherwise it crushes every single time if I use Scale Tool for more than 4 times.

It is a serious bug that Adobe really needs to solve it, however it has this issue from version 2018 to today.

 

Really looking forward to the update.

Hi,

Can you indicate the exact version of your operating system and software.

Can you confirm that your hardware is compatible with the minimum requirements for InDesign.

This is an issue i have not heard of before. Can you add it to the bug list at Adobe InDesign (uservoice.com)

Thanks for your feedback, sorry for getting back to you late please see below:

My operating system is MacOS Catalina version:10.15.4, my InDesign CC 2021 the latest version.

Please find my hardware details attached.

This issue has always been there over the years, I used different computers at different work place over the years, this problem was always there.

Hi Ashutosh,

I can't use the scale tool very often. It happens to any file, not limited to a specific file. What happens is if I use scale tool for more than 3-4 times, the software will freeze. So in the dialogue box, I am not able to click into and enter any number, it is just frozen. I can't even right-click at the app icon to select "quit", I can only force quit through Apple command.
Guess what! I just create a new Indesign file, drew a simple rectangular shape and tried to do the scale tool to get a screenshot for you guys then it froze straight away 😞
I am surprised you haven't heard about this bug, however, it was there over years at my different working places, it hasn't been fixed. I hope I explained things well, really hope you intelligent technician can fix it.

I have had the same problem for years. So annoying and I keep presuming one day Adobe will fix it but every update makes no difference. I'd love a fix SOON!
