InDesign Data Merge/Commonlook 508 link error

I am using InDesign data merge (no problems there), but the document needs to be Commonlook 508 compliant. When I use their free checker, anywhere I used data merge, it gives a failure of 'link not well formed" and link annotation failures...it (rightfully so) intreprets all the data merges as links and tags them as such. I am exporting from InDesign as Interactive PDF, so I'm not sure if I'm just not doing something right, or what I can do to fix the error.

(My boss is in the process of purchasing licenses for us for Commonlook PDF, so maybe it's something that can be fixed by the full program when we get full access?)

But I was just wondering if anyone else has run into this, might know where I'm going wrong or what I'm doing wrong? I would be grateful for the help!

Thanks in advance for your time and help if you can!

**This thread can be deleted**...with apologies....I realized I didn't merge prior to export. (of course, right after I post)
