Indesign does not open

I had had no problems previously but now I can not open my old documents. I have OS El Capitan 10.11.6. Now I am asked to log in despite the fact that I am already logged in. I am somewhat frustrated.

That is a very old operating system. What version of InDesign are you having issues with and what is the exact error message you get?
