Hi Christy,

do other application see the installed font?

Is your version of InDesign 17.2 ?

Then you detected a new bug with InDesign 17.2.

Best revert to InDesign 17.1 or 17.0.1.

See this bug report at Adobe InDesign UserVoice and vote for fixing the issue:

installed font missing InDesign 17.2 macOS 12.3 (Monterey) and macOS Catalina

Thank you for the quick reply unfortunately it still does not worked - the
original font was an off and changed it to rtfd but without any luck. It
worked in the older computer 17.2x64. I have voted since I have seen that
it happens more often. Once again thanks cr--
kind regards,

Hi Christy,

does that mean, you first uninstalled InDesign 17.2 and then reinstalled 17.0.1 and still InDesign is not able to see the installed font but other applications do see it?

Good afternoon
I had found the solution to this problem
*I wrote on the 14th of april: Indesign could not find an otf font. I have
found the solution! I opened a indesign file and checked another font to
see were that font was saved. *
*c:programmefiles\adobe\adobeindesig\resources\required\fonts. *
*I copied and pasted the font in fonts and it works!*

16th of April I got a message that there was a new update for Indesign -
which I downloaded and ended with the previous problem of not being able to
recognize the font. The solution I found was to delete and re-download
indesign in an earlier version 17.0.1. This version recognizes the font. I
shall not update indesign. What I can not undestand is that illustrator -
photoshop accept the font but not indesign.
