InDesign exporting my CMYK print PDF to RBG every time

I have used Adobe InDesign many times before, to create catalogs, booklets, posters, and other print material. I have never had this issue before. I have not used the program for about 6 months, and have since gotten a new laptop. I am wondering if this is possibly a glitch on InDesigns end from a new update.

 

I have created a print ready PDF in CMYK color format, but when I export to PDF and open it in Acrobat, the colors are vibrant, which I assume are RGB colors. 

 

A bit more information...

- I have exported one page as a JPEG, and the CMYK colors are accurate as they appear in my InDesign workspace. 

- All of the swatches used in InDesign are set to CMYK

- Transparency blend space is set to Document CMYK

- The file is set to print in document setup

- All of the Illustrator graphics I use in the InDesign file were made in CMYK color mode in Illustrator. The individual swatches are also set to CMYK in Illustrator.

- I have tried exporting as [high quality print] preset (which is what I have always used in the past)

- I have tried exporting as preset: [PDF/X-4:2008] standard: PDF:X-4:2010

- I have tried 'no color conversion' (which I have always used in the past)

- I have tried 'convert to destination'

- I have tried exporting as Acrobat 5 (PDF 1.4) (Which I have always used in the past)

- I have also tried exporting as Acrobat 7 (PDF 1.6)

 

Can anyone help me figure out why this would be happening? And if there is anything else I can try to fix this?

Try this:

In Acrobat, go to Preferences > Security (Enhanced), and check Enable Protected Mode at start up and Run in AppContainer.

I have no idea what these options do, but having them unchecked seems to disable color management.

This will be very noticeable on a wide gamut monitor, which you seem to have.

I believe the color settings are as they were when I previously used the program. Here are the settings-

 

Settings: North America General Purpose 2

- Advanced mode is checked

 

Working spaces

RGB: sRGB IEC61966-2.1

CMYK: U.S. Web Coated (SWOP) v2

 

Color management policies

RGB: Preserve Embedded Profiles

CMYK: Preserve Numbers (Ignore Linked Profiles)

- Profile Mismatches: all unchecked 

- Missing Profiles: unchecked 

 

Conversion options

Engine: Adobe (ACE)

Intent: Relative Colorimetric

- Use blackpoint compensation is checked

Update 

To troubleshoot further, I exported each page as a JPEG in CMYK color format. The colors appear accurate to my InDesign workspace. I then placed the JPEGS in a new InDesign file with all of the correct CMYK specs. 

 

I exported as a print PDF and it still appears as the same vibrant colors as before in Adobe Acrobat. When I take a screenshot of the PDF in Adobe Acrobat, the colors in the screenshot appear accurate CMYK to how they look in InDesign.

 

I am now wondering if this could possibly be a result of my new laptops color settings? Or color settings within Adobe Acrobat? I changed from an HP Spectre to an ASUS Vivobook Pro 15 OLED - Intel Core Ultra 9 - NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3050

I dissabled protected mode in Adobe Acrobat and it resolved the issue!
