@Graphic Indian

Try these steps for troubleshooting and send the file to Adobe if you still need help.

https://helpx.adobe.com/indesign/kb/troubleshoot-file-issues.html

ā€œIf no resolution works, share the affected file with us at idfile@adobe.com. We'll investigate the issue and let you know if the recovery is possible.ā€

The Helpx file plus two others suggest rebooting, but try this first.

You have two copies of InDesign running. It's possible the file is open in the "other" instance. Quit both and launch only the version you intend to use.

Hi @Graphic Indian:

In addition to the other advice, close all applications and restart your computer.

That message would appear if the lock file was not deleted, duer, for example, to an improper shutdown or previous crash. See if there is a .idlk file inthe same folder as the file you are trying to open and if there is delete it.

Hi @Graphic Indian

Sorry to hear about the trouble. As suggested by other experts, please try rebooting the computer and opening the file. Could you please also try opening the file from the source location instead of the recent files? Let us know if this helps or if you need any further assistance.
