Indesign file with PS icon

Hi, i dont know why bud suddenly my .indd file cannot be opened in Indesign, so i just tried to do “open with“ and selected photoshop because indesign wasnt even an option, so now my indd files save with an ps icon and it tries to open in ps, i can open my indd files only when i open indesign and select the file from my recents, i dont know if anyone has a similuar experience but please help. ive tried everything.

You need to fix your file Association. You don't give your OS, but if Windows, right-click on the file and choose Open With, check the box to Always use this Application and then scroll down to Find Another Application... Navigate to your InDesign program folder and choose InDesign.EXE
