So I made multiple indesign document for school use. But a year passed and I had to buy the licentie again. When I downloaded Indesign again all my InDesign files where gone. No sign of them anywhere. And I don't have my files saved on my laptop because I had issues and the laptop had to be repaired in the meantime. I do have all my Illustrator files on my creative cloud and in Illustrator app. Just not the InDesign files.
How do I get them back or how did this happen?

Hi @carlijn_0215,
Thanks for reaching out. From April this year, InDesign introduced the Cloud Document option, which allows files to be stored directly on Adobe’s cloud. However, prior to this, all InDesign files were stored locally on your computer or through third-party network drives like Google Drive or Dropbox if you used those.
Additionally, Creative Cloud Synced files were discontinued as of February 1, 2024. You can read more about this change here: Adobe Help: End of Creative Cloud Synced Files.
I’d recommend thinking about where you usually saved these files—if you used a specific folder, drive, or backup method, they may still be there. If you have any backup or other cloud storage set up, you could check those as well.
Let me know if there’s anything else I can help with!
Best,
Anshul Saini
