Indesign Fussnoten

New Here ,
Oct 08, 2025 Oct 08, 2025

Hi,
Danke!

Guten tag, Vielefragen

Are you saying that Type > Document Footnote Options > Layout > Span Footnotes Across Columns doesn't work?

How are you building your columns? As one textframe or as multiple textframes?

Hi @many questions,

Adding to expert's suggestion, could you please share the exact version of InDesign 2025 you're using, along with your OS details? I tested this on my end, and the 'Span Footnotes Across Columns' option seems to be working as expected. It would help if you could drop a couple of screenshots showing your current footnote settings and how the footnotes appear on your page, so I can check this more closely.

Looking forward to your update.

Abhishek
