InDesign generated table of content counts the left text frame first, but my heading is on the right

Hey you all,

I have set up a table of contents (TOC) in my InDesign file. There are 4 Levels. The first level is placed on the right side of a page which makes it appear last in the order of InDesign generated table of content. Please have a look, the red font is the First title of the section but appears last in the TOC:

Does anyone have an idea on how to solve it?

Thanks a lot!

Dan

InDesign generated table of content counts the left text frame first

Yes, it's the way inDesign works for TOC… So, you will have to cheat:

Either create a text frame with invisible text (no color) at the left of the page, especialy used for the TOC or extend the existing text frame to the very left of the page and use indent to force the text to stay at the right of the frame.

Thanks, I will place a text on the left upper corner. Any ideas on how to make the text invisible for text selection, or other things that might spot it?

Cheers

Make the text frame non-printable so that it will not export to PDF:

Or add the two frames, the one with the image and the one with "Adblue" as table cells to the table below.

( If this is a table starting with "Messgeräte". )
