Hi Guys
I've just installed Sonoma 14.0 and when I drag a 'marquee' around graphics using the arrow tool the screen goes white! What is going on? you can't see your work so you don't know what you are selecting? I can't even do a screen shot to show the issue.
Does anyone alse have this issue?
Hi @michael broad:
Unfortunately, InDesign 18 is not yet supported on Sonoma. Adobe and Apple do not synchronize their updates, so it is up to us as users to confirm that our important applications will run on a new OS prior to updating.
This white screen has been reported before, along with flickering when the rulers are visible. One option is to sit tight and check in again on October 10, when Adobe will release the next version of InDesign to see if it is supported, or you can roll back t
...The problem of displaying (turning white when selecting objects) is now fixed:
Update Sonoma to 14.3, and the problem is solved!

In either case you're going to want to bookmark this page because it will tell us when InDesign is supported on Sonoma.

Hi,
I am running Ventura and it has happened to me. It didn't happen with 2023, it just began with 2024.

What version of Ventura? You must be at 13.5 or later.

Turn off the rulers, enable GPU Performance (if available) or roll back to Ventura.

I have the same issue but i can't disable GPU Performance as you can see in the picture.
I have a 2020 macmini with Sonoma and It run Adobe Indesign 2024. All updates has done.

File your complaint with Apple. This apparently is a Sonoma bug that they still haven't fixed.

I have the same issue. I updated inDesign a couple of weeks ago, and just now it strted to act crazy and flicker to white when I'm selecting or moving an object.
If I turn off rullers it helps for a minute and happens again. GPU does nothing.
This is terrible, you have to fix this.

I've just updated InDesign 19.0.1 it's still doing the white flickering, I' using Somona 14.0 OS. Adobe should not be putting out updates if there is an issue with it working with the latest OS. Or they should inform their customers NOT to update OS if the adobe software has issues with any of the latest OS. Also I tried reverting back to an earlier OS a few years ago with a different issue, what a drama, I'll never do that again.

Have you filed your complaint with Apple? This is looking more and more like their issue.
The workarounds have been pointed out over and over again...turn off the rulers and/or turn on GPU Performance if your computer supports it.

File a complaint with Apple? Looks like an Adobe issue to me since the workaround is within InDesign, by turning off the rulers - within that program. Doesn't sound like an apple issue. Super annoying whatever it is. Hopefully they fix it soon.

Yes, it's always been an Apple issue and the fact that you can workaround it by changing a display setting in InDesign does not change that.
As pointed out, update your operating system and keep it updated.

Yes, updating to 14.3 did work. Automatic updates were on, I'm not sure why it didn't automatically get updated but I guess that is something else I will have to look into. Thanks for the information.
