Indesign hängt sich auf / Textkorrektur

Hallo,

Sabine

Hi @sabinem84046218,

The file might have been corrupted. Please try to export the file as IDML and then resave the IDML to INDD and see if the problem resolves.

THis file was created way before CS4 as it was recovered from an INX file. Later, many corruptions and restores have been done. I would strongly recommend to export as IDML and open it again.

Not related to your problem, but it can cause problems: You work with way to many masters. In my opinion you should reduce them and use text varriables.

You use also way to many paragraph styles and some structure would help you to get a cleaner document.

Hi @sabinem84046218 ,

We're so sorry to hear about the trouble. Please share a few more details like:

  1. The version of InDesign.
  2. Is this happening with a specific file or multiple files?
  3. Is the file saved locally or on any network folder?
  4. Will it be possible for you to share a small video of the workflow and a sample file for testing purposes?

We're here to help, just need more information.

Regards

Rishabh

Thank you, Rishabh for your kind reply.

1. latest version (2022-Abo)

2. one specific file

3. saved locally

4. I used another document without problems -> problem might indeed be connected to that file. Attached, please find the file, problem occurs after p. 91, today, after a few times deleting an "end-of-paragraph"-sign in order to merge two paragraphs to one.

With the reduced file (attached), after having deleted aoubt the first 10 page, I could do a lot of corrections without problems.

Perhaps this gives you an  idea?
