I am suddenly having a problem updating links on some InDesign files when I open them. When I try to update the links I get a “Import Failed” message. I deleted my InDesign preferences and reopening the files. Nothing changed. This seem to be happening to files stored in DropBox.

Turn off Smart Sync in Dropbox.

Are the InDesign files in Dropbox or the linked images?

Thanks for your reply. I have no idea what smart sync is and I can't find it anywhere in Dropbox. The InDesign files and the linked files are all in Dropbox. They always have been. The client has it setup that way.
