Indesign is reading some of my text boxes as a different language.

I am creating a document and it has several pages with multiple text boxes within them. When I go to use the Check Spelling feature, some of the text boxes are registering as a different language.

I checked my InDesign preferences and it all says English so I don't know why this is happening. Has anyone had this happen and knows how to fix it?

Language for text is a text attribute assigned at the character level and has nothing to do with anything in the preferences.

First thing to check is your paragraph style defintions under advanced character attributes and see what language is assigned.
