I was looking for an InDesign file that i had been wokring on but i has compeltely gone from the folder, computer and any associated drives. It also does not apepar in any recent documents when i open InDesign. I can see there is a lock file still in the folder but the actual InDesign file is nowhere to be found! Any ideas?
Can i use the lock file in any way to find or restore the InDesign file?

Hi, @nicolab66946898 ,
1) what InDesign version do you use?
2) What OS?
3) Are you using a Cloud service like Adobe Cloud, Google Drive, One Drive, Dropbox etc. for storing files?
If yes: Did log out of that cloud?
"Can i use the lock file in any way to find or restore the InDesign file?"
No.

Hi @nicolab66946898 ,
Thanks for reaching out. The IDLK extension file refers that the file is open and the actual file is locked for others to edit. So if the file is saved on any shared drive, please check if it's open. Please close the file and then try opening the file again. Let us know if this helps or if you need any further assistance.
