Indesign no longer starts

Every time after I close Indesign, I can't open after that. It only helps to uninstall and reinstall. Does anyone know what this could be and how I can remedy it?

What's the OS and what version of InDesign

Some have reported success by updating to the latest versoin of the OS on Mac

 

Try resetting your preferences:

Windows: Start InDesign, and then press Shift+Ctrl+Alt. Click Yes when asked if you want to delete preference files.
macOS: While pressing Shift+Option+Command+Control, start InDesign. Click Yes when asked if you want to delete preference files.
A dialog will appear asking to delete the InDesign Preferences, select 'Yes' on this dialog.
