InDesign not showing any page content

I can see and select objects, and sometimes content previews show up in the pages dialog, but I routinely have issues with all of my open files where there is just nothing showing up. No pages. No Boxes. Only when I hover over something can I see that the content actually still is there. The only thing that fixes it is a restart.

Changing views between Preview and Normal does nothing.

My coworkers said they also have this issue.

Hi @dariley

Would you mind sharing the version of InDesign and the details of the OS. Are you and your colleagues using the same specification systems? The document you face the issue with, are they stored locally on the system drive or to a remote machine, external drive or a cloud? If not locally, then try saving them locally and then test is the issue persists. If you are on macOS, could you try disabling the GPU performance and see if it helps (Edit > Preferences > GPU Performance).

Let me know how it goes.

It seems like the issue is related to resizing the window/connecting to a different screen. I am running the following:

INDD: 20.1

Mac OSX: 15.1 (24B2083)

I will turn off GPU performance and let you know if that helps. Thank you.

Hi @dariley

Do you mean that you face this issue only when using the second monitor? Correct me if I misunderstood. Would you mind telling the make and model of your monitor? Also, what connection type you use e.g., type- C or HDMI? Can you try switching the connection type and then see if the issue persist? Also, let me know if turning OFF the GPU performance helped or not.

Moreover, could to try updating the macOS version to 15.3 and see if that helps.

Let me know how it goes. Will wait to hear from you.

No, it is an issue when I try and remaximize the screen. It doesn't specifically only happen when I connect a new display, but *after* I try and maximize or reduce (green button) the window size. But it can happen whether I connect to a new display or not.
