I've been doing paragraph styles and always work, until today. I made a new style based on No Paragraph Style, when i try to apply the style to another pargarph it chages to default, also when I make changes I don't get the plus to redefine the paragaph style. I'm doing what I have been doing for years, did something changed in the updates? Help?
I suppose you could have applied a character style. Remove it from the paragraph.
ID Tasker is a plugin develped by @Robert at ID-Tasker
To get .idml go to File > Export... and save as .idml. Open that and save as a new .indd file.
But when a paragraph style refuses to to format existing text the problemn is often that a character style has also been apply, either directly, or through a GREP or Nested Style, or formatting has been applied as a local override, so check those things first.

Also, when I open the Paragraph Style Options it shows the font and size I choose. Is just not appling the style.

As Peter mentioned - IDMLing is a way to clean document from gremlins.
You have two options - Export or Save As. Not sure what's the difference - both produce almost identical files.
ID-Tasker - is a tool I've created for InDesign that let you automate mundane operations or boost your productivity.
It's not a plugin - would be much more limited - and it's PC only - which makes it even more advanced. Free version is a bit limited but still useful - let's you quickly navigate through your document.

Not almost the same, exactly the same. Was added to the Save As menu back around CS6 because so many users couldn't seem to find it under Export...

I was comparing them in Total Commander - as packages - and there have been few differences - but haven't compared after unpacking.
