Indesign PDF Export Crashing. Adobe QR Generater

Hi everyone,

Just a little warning/heads up... I created a 16 Page booklet and it wouldn't export to PDF, just kept crashing. After reinstling, checking fonts and images and creating a new file, it turned out to be the QR Code that was the issue. Generated in Adobes online site.  I deleted it and the th file saved as PDF.

I've let adobe know.

Cheers

Why did you not use InDesign's integral QR code generator instead?

Not that there's anything wrong with your production choices, but any time you generate an image file outside of an app, then place it, and then try to do much of anything besides print (export to PDF or EPUB, invoke booklet layout, etc.) the odds are some aspect of the file won't be compatible with your intended results.

Create the code in ID and place it as a live element. That should solve your problems.

Hi @robl57557199,

Sorry to hear about the trouble. Could you share the sample file along with the system logs? If you remember the time when the crash happened, please share that as well. We'll try our best to assist you.

Thanks

Rishabh

It is there, excellent in many ways, limited in a few others, and best used with 'Plain Text' input rather than using any of the included data forms. Complete primer here: http://nitrosyncretic.com/DPR/dpr_qrcodes.php.
