Indesign plante au démarrage

Bonjour dans notre société, nous avons un probleme avec la suite Adobe, dont Indesign. Indesign se lance bien mais la Ram augmente sans cesse jusqu'à planter le pc.

Test avec des machines ayant 16 et 32 Go, la mémoire sature jusqu'a planter le pc. Nous avons observé le problème depuis un passage forcé vers Windows 11 sur nos pc récent, pour la plupart <6 mois (DELL 3540 avec 16Go de RAM- Processuer Core i5).

La désinstallation puis réinstallation n'a rien changé. Windows est mis à jour ainsi que InDesign.

Les versions de ID plantent sur des version Windows 11 22H2 et 23H2.

Est-ce une mauvaise gestion de la mémoire de Adobe ?

The problem would come from the CEPHTMLENGINE.EXE executable, by renaming it the problems are resolved.

Please confirm your (exact) version of InDesign and OS and how much spare hard disk capacity you have.

The first thing to try is to reset InDesign back to the factory defaults:
1) Close InDesign
2) Double click on Adobe InDesign's icon to launch it
3) QUICKLY hold down Ctrl+Alt+Shift. (for Windows) or CTL+OPT+CMD+Shift (for Mac OS X)
4) When a dialogue appears, asking you “Delete InDesign Preference Files?” Click Yes.
If you don't see the question repeat the procedure again.

Please confirm how much spare hard disk capacity you have.

19.2 is the latest version of InDesign, do you have the same issue if you revert to the earlier version 18.5?

Out of 474GB I have 385GB left free, this is the version of Indesign 19.2 used.
How to return to 18.4 with creative cloud?

You can download the earlier version of InDesign via the Creative Cloud app.

(You can have more than one version installed.)

It's always wise to keep the current version when you upgrade so you can revert if there are issues with the new version or with plug-ins etc.

Do you have any extra plugins / start-up scripts installed? 

 

You could try CC Cleaner to completely cleanup your system from anything related to InDesign.

Hello, not to my knowledge and the preferences have been reset, according to Mr Cross, several versions can be installed. so I install version 18.4

Good morning.

The PC no longer crashes when we open indesign but does not open with version 18.4.

It remains stuck then makes a blank page (for +20min)
