Trying to print addresses on 4x6 postcards using data merge tool in In Design. Using an Allin One HP 3830 printer. Says 'printing is complete', but nothing is printed. Can you help? Thanks.

Hi vsfeldman@gmail:

Periodically, my MacBooks stop printing to my designated printer. I just remove and reinstall via System Preferences > Printers & Scanners.

Hi vsfeldman@gmail:

This question requires more information for us to help you troubleshoot:

  1. Can you print other files from InDesign on the same computer to that printer?
  2. Is the mail merge process complete? Can you see the multi-page results?
  3. Is the file using layers? Is the layer with the content set to non-printing?
  4. Can you export the file to PDF and print from Acrobat/Reader?

So I tried printing other letter-size files from various apps as well. Nothing is printing, however I ran an alignment program from my computer on my printer and it printed. Just updated my OS to the Big Sur 11.4. Starting to think this might be the issue. My HP Officejet 3830 doesn't show that operating version in its firm ware updates on their support website. May be SOL.

2. Yes, I can see all the results

3. No Layers

4. PDF wont print either. Think I need to troubleshoot the printer.

Thanks for trying!
