What's your macOS version and how much RAM do you have? What happens exactly when the app is not opening (any errors etc?)

What is icloud creative suite?
You're going to need to provide real details here starting with the Mac operating system and what version of InDesign you're trying to install.

Hi bob, Adobe creative cloud was meant to say instead of icloud blah blah...sorry typo.
My old Indesign version was the 19.9 (something i believe) and the latest version of indesign that I'm trying to use is version 20.5. Also more info in last email response as well if that helps to solve my indesign problem.
thanks

InDesign is still supported on Monterey (12.x) and you have enough RAM.
Was your older copy of InDesign running on this computer? If yes, following the link from @leo.r will likely take care of it. Alternatively, you could download Adobe's CC Cleaner tool (https://helpx.adobe.com/creative-cloud/apps/troubleshoot/diagnostics-repair-tools/run-creative-cloud...) to run a clean unstall. Either should do it, and the instructions Leo linked to are a bit easier, IMO.
