What the hell is wrong with InDesign? Using ver. 16.3.2 on iMac, open a document, work on it, Save it.

No, InDesign can't manage that, Doc needs repairing!  Repair doc, Save as.. OK.

Work on same doc, Save....InDesign can't manage it...Repair document!!  And so it goes!

I think the next step could be Quark!

Hi Billie

A couple of thoughts:

Which version of the OS?

Was InDesign working correctly with the previous version?

How much RAM and spare hard disk capacity do you have?

Have you tried resetting the InDesign preferences?

Hi Derek,

thanks for the info, I´m using OS Big Sur 11.4
InDesign worked fine before the Adobe CC update a couple of weeks ago.
At the moment I´ve got 32GB Ram and 573 GB disk capacity.
I´ve just deleted the InDesign prefs, re-loaded InDesign… still have the same problem!  A bit annoying

Export your file to IDML

File>Export and choose IDML

Open that in InDesign

Does the problem persist with saving?

It's not clear if it's just one document or all documents.

If it's all documents I suggest you follow Derek's advice.

I would suggest you try the Cleaner Tool

https://helpx.adobe.com/creative-cloud/kb/cc-cleaner-tool-installation-problems.html

If that's not working you can roll back to a previous version of InDesign.

https://helpx.adobe.com/download-install/using/install-previous-version.html

And you can log a bug here

https://indesign.uservoice.com/forums/601180-adobe-indesign-bugs

Thanks
